DANIEL WEBSTER
Whig Nominee for President in 1836
INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED, HAND CAST, & HAND PAINTED
This is a hand cast, hand painted figurine of Daniel Webster, notable orator, U.S. Secretary of State, and legendary Senator from Massachusetts. It is made to match the classic collectible Marx Toy Company figures of the 1950s and 60s. It is 60mm tall (about 2 3/4 inches), weighs about an ounce, is cast from a resin plastic, and is painted with enamel paint. Each figurine is individually and sequentially numbered. One photo shows the figurine next to an original Marx figurine of Martin Van Buren, his opponent in the 1836 presidential election.
Elsewhere in this store you'll find other figurines in the Famous Americans series. In addition, there are figurines of the seven presidents that Marx never made, every major party presidential nominee since 1944, all the sitting justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, every past Chief Justice, and several recent and historically significant justices.
